Washing instructions for Lucevii linen products
Before first use: Soak the product in cold water for approx. 24 hours for the fibers to straighten out, which ensures high absorbency from the start. Must be washed at max 40°C for the first wash.
Wash at 40°C: Gentle wash is recommended to extend the life of the product.
Wash by color: Make sure to wash similar colors together to avoid discolouration.
Wash separately: Linen products should be washed separately from other materials to avoid damage and discoloration.
Detergent: Use neutral or mild detergents without bleach for optimum durability and to preserve the colors as best as possible.
Higher temperatures: For stains, you can wash at up to 60°C, but we recommend sticking to 40°C to extend life.
Preparation: Unfold the product completely before soaking and washing. Avoid overfilling the machine for a smoother product.
Drying:
Carefully stretch the product after washing. Hang drying is recommended. If you choose to tumble dry, it should only be ironed dry on low heat. Overdrying damages flax, shortens its lifespan and can cause shrinkage.
Ironing: If a smooth and shiny look is desired, ironing is recommended.
Shrinkage : Our products are pre-washed, which means they will shrink a maximum of 3% or less when washing instructions are followed correctly. To maintain the best quality, we recommend washing the products at a maximum of 40 degrees. Washing at 60 degrees or higher may cause increased shrinkage.
