Before first use
The first thing you should do when you get a new linen product is to soak it in cold water for about 24 hours. This allows the fibers to open up and straighten, ensuring optimal absorbency from the start. Then wash at a maximum of 40°C before first use.
Daily wash
Wash your linen products at 40°C on a delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent without bleach. Avoid fabric softener — it coats the linen fibers and counteracts the natural softening process.
Sorting and preparation
- Wash linen products separately from other materials
- Wash by color — light with light, dark with dark
- Fully unfold the product before washing and avoid overloading the machine
Drying
Line drying is always recommended. Gently stretch the product immediately after washing. If you use a tumble dryer, it should only be on low heat and only until iron-damp.
Higher temperatures
For stubborn stains, you can wash at up to 60°C, but stick to 40°C as a general rule. Washing at 60°C or higher can increase shrinkage.
