What is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100?
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is one of the world's most well-known and recognized certifications for textiles. It guarantees that a product has been tested and approved free of over 100 harmful substances — including pesticides, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and allergenic dyes.
The certification applies to the entire product — not just the finished surface, but all components including threads, buttons, and dyes. This means you can feel safe using OEKO-TEX®-certified products close to your skin, even for particularly sensitive individuals such as babies and allergy sufferers.
The certification is issued by independent laboratories and renewed regularly, so you can trust that it is current.
What is European Flax®?
European Flax® is a certification that guarantees that the flax is grown in Western Europe — primarily in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. This is where the world's best flax grows, thanks to the humid Atlantic climate and rich soil.
The European Flax® certification specifically guarantees that:
- The flax is grown without artificial irrigation — rain is sufficient
- Production takes place with minimal use of pesticides
- The entire production chain is traceable from field to finished product
- No GMO seeds are used
